Spine label blank and a small white H is painted at tail. Binding tight and text clean with college stamp on front pastedown with small bookplate of PO, hand-written label on rear pastedown. Our copy of this book, though in poor condition, is of interest for its being extensively marked up in pencil as if in preparation for a second edition. The markings are unascribed, and we find no evidence that a second edition ever appeared. The binding is worn and faded, with dampstaining to the upper fore-corner of its rear panel; the front inner hinge is broken, the contents are age-toned, with extensive markings in pencil, and with dampstaining to the upper fore-corner of the final several leaves. The remains of a dust jacket (front flap and a portion of the front panel, the flapfold reinforced with tape) are laid in. 540 grams.
