Octavo,106 pp.,coloured frontispiece, photographs, wrappers (slight tear). The signatures of Alan Lendon and Norman Wettenhall on the half title. A minor classic of aviculture literature. Alan Lendon was a prominent medical PR actioner in Adelaide pre and post World War Two. He contributed extensively to the Aviculture Magazine and this pamphlet is a compilation of many of his papers. He was perhaps Australia's leading parrot breeder in the 1950's and bred a number of species for the first time. In 1973 he first published a revision of Neville Cayley's Australian parrots in field and aviary.
