Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - IrénLehner-Adam ermittelt in einer empirischen Studie, ob und auf welche Weise 'EmotionaleIntelligenz' bei bipolaren Patienten mit Erkrankungsmerkmalen zusammenhängt. Dazu wurde die Ausprägung von 'Emotionale Intelligenz' bei manisch depressiven Patienten und gesunden Kontrollpersonen verglichen. Im Rahmen dieser Studie wird auch untersucht, ob der momentane affektive Zustand der aktuell stabilen Patientengruppe die 'Emotionale Intelligenz' und das soziale Funktionsniveau beeinflusst. Patienten mit einer bipolaren Störung sind durch den Verlust an qualitativen sozialen Beziehungen und auch durch die mangelnde Fähigkeit zur Emotionsverarbeitung beeinträchtigt. Als besonders belastend erleben die Patienten diese Einschränkung bei sozialen Bindungen. Deshalb kommt es zu Diskriminierung z.B. am Arbeitsplatz und im Gesundheitssystem oder bei der Suche nach geeigneten Wohnmöglichkeiten.
