Le sculpteur Hippolyte Lefèbvre (1863-1935) a exposé sa sculpture d'Edith Cavell (1865-1915) au Salon de 1919. Héroïne de la Première Guerre mondiale, l'infirmière britannique Edith Cavell a été fusillé par les Allemands pour avoir permis l'évasion de centaines de soldats alliés. La statue est maintenant érigée au square Lechten de Belfort. // Black and white photograph, 13 1/2 x 6 inches. Small tear at the top of the photo without loss of paper, and crease mark at the bottom.The sculptor Hippolyte Lefèbvre (1863-1935) exhibited his sculpture of Edith Cavell (1865-1915) at the 1919 Salon. Heroine of the First World War, the British nurse Edith Cavell was shot by the Germans for having allowed the escape of hundreds of Allied soldiers.
