Paperback. Zustand: Very Good. Minor shelf wear, binding tight, pages clean and unmarked. By Lee Lapin (author of How to Get Anything on Anybody and SpyGame) and his friends -- active pros in the field on these hot topics: fake and innovative identities; stuff your jeweler never told you about rare gems, including smuggling, forging, and finding bargains; the real deal on the stolen car industry; sources for exotic weapons, surveillance gear at a discount and schools that teach how to spy, pry and survive damn near anything and much more.
Wraps. Zustand: good. Updated Edition. 505 pages, wraps, illus., diagrams, tape residue at bottom of spine, some wear and soiling to covers. Lee Lapin, 1948-2009, was a popular surveillance and espionage author, best known for his offbeat, grammatically questionable, yet information-rich instructional book series, How to Get Anything On Anybody. The series is published by Paladin Press, is now in its third revision, and is frequently included in library collections across North America. Lapin reportedly lived on a small island off the coast of Marin County, California where, for relaxation, he raised wolves. Lee Lapin was the nom de plume of Scott French. He died January 11, 2009, at the home of his son in Colorado. From exotic poisons and shooting knives to fiber optics, infrared monitoring, and the legalities of surveillance; from the rocket pistol and the Super Rifle to climbing sheer walls and reading minds; from premise security to electronic voice changes, etc. etc. This updated softcover edition includes all the information published earlier. From an on-line posting: "Lee Lapin works as a private detective, certified voice stress analyst, and is licensed as a surveillance consultant. He has written 23 books, that include six or seven on the fields of electronic surveillance, black bag entry techniques, physical surveillance, and personal intelligence gathering. He has produced a number of videos on these same subjects and has the capability to write, consult or demonstrate most of the latest techniques and equipment in both government and private arenas. Lee has worked with several agencies, both public and private, helping to develop surveillance and tracking equipment and techniques. His works are employed as textbooks by many of the world's major intelligence agencies including the CIA, KGB and MOSSAD, the Justice Department, IRS, ATF, even the FBI. In addition, Lee has appeared on several national talk shows and has been featured on the front page of the NY Times, in People Magazine, Associated Press, and in many other magazines and newspapers.
