Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Second printing. Octavo. 135pp. Blue cloth titled in silver. Owner name and stamp of noted psychologist Henry Guze and his wife Vivian (also a psychologist) on the front pastedown. else about fine with the spine faintly sunned, in a toned, about very good dust jacket with some soil, and several small chips and tears along the topedge. Inscribed to the Guzes on the front fly: "To Henry and Vivian / I will long remember our happy and provocative hours together. May Life's best be yours. Sincerely your friend Max Leach." With a January, 1958 Typed Note Signed from Leach to the Guzes laid in. On Abilene Christian College Department of Psychology stationery (where he was department head), Leach again notes the fine time they had together "last summer at Wisconsin," and also that he has left part-time work at the state hospital, as private practice has taken up his spare time. Dr. Richard Maxwell "Max" Leach was born in Texas 1909 and, aside for his advanced study in Colorado and eight years spent as a school principal in Ohio, appears to have been a lifelong Texan. He received his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian College (now University) and was on the faculty for over 30 years. Dr. Henry Guze was a cofounder of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex. Signed.
