Zustand: Assez bon. 1 vol. in-4 br., ill. noir et blanc, Galerie Georges Petit, 8 rue de Sèze, Paris, 1927, 144 ref. et 75 pp. extraits du supplément de la Gazette Drouot Etat très satisfaisant (couv. lég. frottée, bon état par ailleurs) pour cet exemplaire d'une belle vente de mobilier, dans le Paris des années 20. Avec… l'indication des prix atteints, sur l'extrait de la Gazette Drouot joint au catalogue. Cette vente avait atteint un total de 7,6 millions de francs de l'époque. La Galerie Georges Petit portait le nom d'un des plus grands marchands d'art français de la fin du XIX siècle et du début du XXe. A la mort de Georges Petit (1856-1920), la galerie avait été rachetée en particulier par Etienne Bignou, associé aux frères Bernheim-jeune. La galerie fonctionna alors principalement comme une maison de ventes aux enchères, puis elle se mit à organiser des expositions rétrospectives, au début de la grande crise. Parmi ces expositions, sont notamment restées dans les annales la grande exposition Matisse de 1931 et la Picasso de 1932. Langue: Français.
