Issued in the Phoenix Science series. xvii+387+(1, series list), 52 figs. inc several photo-plates; prev. owner's very small sig. top front endpaper, edges browning throughout, paper-back covers clean and unworn but slight browning down joint ridges. Given that the edge-browning is probably common to all copies this is a very acceptable copy.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First edition. 128pp. Illustrated in black and white, including nine plates. Ownership stamp and signature of a noted American psychologist on the front fly. Ex-library with a large perforated name stamp on the title page, upper hinge neatly strengthened at the title page, very good. The Carnegie Institution of Washington, Publication No. 211. Both authors were noted psychologists and behaviorists.
