Paperback. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Perris, California: An Uncle John's Sports Art Publication, 1975. [44] pp. 21.5 x 14 cm. Card wraps with pictorial cover. Rubbing and light toning to cover, with small 5 mm red ink mark to front cover. Lengthy inscription in blue ink (with minor bleeding) from Lamblin to "Danny" inside front cover. Interior otherwise clean. No rusting to staples. A scarce copy of the medal-winning swimmer's only book, this slender book is quite uncommon in that it is a rare example of sports poetry written by a woman. Athleticism, liberation, and sexuality are the main themes in Lamblin's poetry, as she moved from the role of athlete to that of a student of sport and dance as "poetry in motion". This book also features a poetic introduction by Malachi Andrews, the black runner who authored the book "Psychoblackology: Science of Black Movement, Sports, Dance, Soul". Signed by Author. First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good.
