In den WarenkorbSoft cover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition, Illustrated Edition. "Tell Me" Children's Muslin Rag Book - Circa 1905 Victorian. Uncredited artist behind the illustrations in this specific Dean's Rag Book is highly attributed to H.G.C. Marsh-Lambert (Helen Grace Culverwell Marsh-Lambert). The sun face circle printed in the bottom…right corner of the back cover means that specific emblem is the "Sunburn" or "Sun Face" registration mark. Dean's Rag Book Co. used it during the early 1900s and 1910s to indicate that the dyes used on the muslin fabric were fast, completely fade-resistant to sunlight, and safely washable. highly collectible, authentic antique children's cloth rag book titled "Tell Me", produced by the world-renowned Dean's Rag Book Company. Famous for pioneering untearable, washable fabric books for toddlers, this early 20th-century juvenile piece features beautiful color-lithographed illustrations printed directly onto heavy cotton muslin fabric with iconic pinked (zig-zag) edges. This book shows typical signs of light age-toning, faint foxing/spotting from storage, and minimal edge fraying consistent with a fabric toy of this vintage. The yellow perimeter binding stitch line remains intact holding the pages securely together. A wonderful addition to any collection of antique ephemera, nursery history, or early children's books. "An exceptionally rare, surviving title from the early Edwardian production line of Dean's Rag Book Co. Rag books from this era have an incredibly high mortality rate, making intact examples highly sought after by collectors of early children's ephemera." All images are photographed in natural light, no lights used to enhance colour or diminish shadows. Registered postage. Tracking details will be forwarded to the purchaser. H.G.C. Marsh-Lambert (Helen Grace Culverwell Marsh-Lambert). (illustrator).
