In den WarenkorbCloth. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Lacey Everett (illustrator). First edition. A lovely first UK edition of Graham Greene's A Burnt-Out Case, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. The first UK edition of this novel in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper, designed by Lacey Everett. Ink inscription to the front free end paper, dated 1961. A Burnt-Out Case is a novel by Graham Greene (1904-1991), set in a leper colony on the upper reaches of a tributary of the Congo River in Africa. Greene was inspired by his visits to leper colonies in the Congo and Cameroons, and dedicates this novel to Docteur Michel Lechat, a medical doctor at a leper colony in Yonda in Africa. In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally the cloth is very smart, though slightly faded to the upper extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only a little spotting to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is somewhat sunned to the spine, and to the rear of the wrap, which is also a little soiled. Some chipping to the head of the spine and wear to the joints and folds. Faint tidemark to the reverse of the wrap. Colour is otherwise good. Near Fine. book.
