Stapled card covers, covers a little creased, but otherwise a near fine copy of this impressive catalogue.

Gustave Achille Gaston Migeon (1861Ð 1930) was Curator of the Department of Middle Age, Renaissance, and Contemporary Decorative Arts at the Louvre, Paris. The Louvre's Department of Islamic Art: "the youngest of the museumÕs eight departments, was created in 2003. Its origins can be traced back to the Islamic section created in 1890 within the Department of Decorative Arts by two curators: Gaston Migeon and Emile Molinier. The new galleries of the Department of Islamic Art opened to the public in 2012. Some 3,000 objects are on display, spanning 1,300 years of history and three continents, from Spain to Southeast Asia. Henri Rivire (1864Ð1951) was a French artist and designer best known for his creation of a form of shadow play at the Chat Noir cabaret, and for his post-Impressionist illustrations of Breton landscapes and the Eiffel Tower. mile Lvy (1826 Ð1890) was a French genre and portrait painter. One leaf slightly wrinkled. Slight foxing at text prelims of the first volume. Spines of folders slightly faded but very clean. Bright clean very good indeed - an excellent set in original sound clean very good attractive patterned slip-cases.
