The essays and sermons attempt to be true to the spirit of Will Campbell's devotion to the gospel above all else. It should not be surprising that the essays and sermons are about the business of deconstructing more sacred cows while lifting up the truth claims of the gospel.''The same God who blessed us with preacher man Will Campbell now blesses us withChildress and Kennedy. These two preachers show how much so many of us owe to preacher Will.Campbell was a creative, faithful, folksy, brilliant, Baptist, gospel-giving, pain in the neck, kick in the butt for so many of us.The fun, biting, serious, deceptively folksy, joyful sermons and essays inWill Campbell, Preacher Manare eloquent testimony to what Will Campbell continues to do for us preachers.
