Orissa's struggle for freedom provides an outline on the most crucial period of Indian history i.e. the first half of twentieth century by making a comparative analysis of the congress movement and the Oriya movement launched simultaneously during the above mentioned period. Through this book we have endeavoured to give an objective and balanced account of the nationalist as well as regional trends in Orissa politics in the wider background of the glorious Indian freedom movement. Being an original contribution and presented in a highly readable and lucid style this book will be of immense use and cater to the need of a variety of readers. Last but not the least in fact the main objective is to inspire and make aware the younger generation the undaunted courage and unprecedented sacrifices the ceaseless struggle of our committed people and dynamic leaders but for whom ultimately we achieved independence. 248 pp.…
