She explored varied fields of anthropological interest like women studies, regionalism, folk tradition, cultural syncretism and so on. She has a number of publications in reputed journals and books. She has one book and a number ofedited books in her credit. Krishna Mandai, is exposed to a vast area of research in different parts of India including Andaman Islands.
