First Edition. Good copy in the original cloth-backed printed boards with a paper label to the front, and now lightly scuffed. Spine title-blocked, now foxed and with a small abrasion towards the tail. The signature containing plates 20-36 is loose, with the text block remaining otherwise sound and clean. Er konnte sich als einer von wenigen deutschen Malern in den 1920er Jahren auf dem französischen Kunstmarkt durchsetzen.
