Contents are in fine condition; boards have light age wear. Intended to highlight the culture, athleticism and civic participation of German students and to foster healthy competition. In his encouragement for a British readership of the book, Knowles states: "As a Member of the British Olympic Council I would commend it, moreover to the attention of athletes who are about to take part in, or to assist at the Olympic Games in Berlin."
