Hadara Goldin, einen IDF-Offizier, während des Schusswechsels entführten und in einen Tunnel schleppten. Das IDF hat eine ausgiebige Suchaktion ausgerufen um den vermissten Soldaten zu finden. Während dieses Vorgangs wurden zwei Soldaten durch Angriffe der Hamas getötet.'Nach der Entführung, führte das IDF die sog. 'Hannibal Procedure' durch, eine Maßnahme, die nach massivem Einsatz vonGewalt verlangt um einen gefangen Soldaten zu befreien, selbst wenn dessen Leben dadurch in Gefahr ist. Während des ganzen Tages wurden die Menschen von Rafah von mehr als 2000 Bomben und Raketen und Granaten attackiert. Viele Zivilisten wurden durch die Vereitelung der Entführung und den damit einhergehenden Beschuss getötet. Im Rahmen der 'Hannibal Procedure' war keine Zeit, sie zu warnen.Der Gaza-Konflikt 2014, auch bekannt als 'Operation Protective Edge' war eine 50-tätige israelische Millitäroperation im Gazastreifen beginnend am 8. Juli, die mehr als 2000 Einwohner von Gaza, 1.500 Zivilisten und davon 539 Kinder das Leben kostete. Weitere tausende Einwohner wurden verwundet und vertrieben, Grundstücke und Einrichtungen zur lebensnotwendigen Versorgung wurden zerstört. Israel hielt seine Luft, See- und Landblockade von Gaza aufrecht, was eine kollektive Bestrafung seiner ungefähr 1,8 Millionen Einwohner bedeutete und die humanitäre Krise verstärkte. Nach der 'Operation Cast Lead' (2008-2009) und der 'Operation Pillar of Defence' (2012) war dies die dritte Millitäroffensive.Kent Klich ist ein schwedischer Fotograf, der sich mit Projekten von sozialem, und politischen Einfluss beschäftigt. Seine Arbeiten wurden bereits weltweilt inMuseen und Galerien ausgestellt. Nach 'Gaza Photo Album' (2009) und 'Killing Time' (2013) ist 'Black Friday' der dritte Teil seiner fortlaufenden Dokumentation des Lebens in Gaza.
