Para entender su origén no hay que buscar en la Guerra Civil Española sino más temprano, es decir en la Segunda República de la península. Con el triunfo del Frente Popular, dentro de esa época, en las elecciones en febrero de 1936 desprendó la izquierda a la derecha y marcó el dualismo político de las dos Españas. Este acontecimiento daba el preludio para una fila de conflictos cargandose más con las radicalizaciones de 1936 que culminaron finalmente en julio de 1939 en la Guerra Civil. Así con referencia a España y la fragmentación del latín vulgar hasta las lenguas romanas, como también al español de los paises hispanoamericanos y su influencia por las lenguas indígenas. En comparación con la Península están las lenguas prehispánicas en América desde la conquista española bien documentadas por los misioneros y muchas siguen existiendo hasta hoy.Una de las primeras investigaciones sobre el español de América (Alonso 1940a:271) representa la teoría indigenista del lingüísta alemán Rodolfo Lenz. En 1893 publicó primero en alemán luego también en español sus Chilenische Studien que fue la primera descripción científica de la pronunciación chilena (Mujica 2001:2). En el mismo año publicó el artículo Beiträge zur Kenntnis des Amerikanospanischen. Estudió la lengua y el folclore araucano que fundamentó científicamente en el Diccionario etimológico de las voces chilenas derivadas de las lenguas indigenas americanas. Aunque Lenz es considerado hasta hoy 'como la máxima autoridad en conocimiento del idioma araucano del siglo pasado' (Ibd.), pertenece su teoría a una de las más críticadas y causó una serie de controversias a favor o en contra de sus postulados.El presente trabajo trata en consideración a esas polémicas de la teoría lenziana y pertende de elaborar sus entendimientos al nivel fonético, léxico y morfosintático para acercarse a dar una respuesta sobre el grado de influencia del sustrato mapuche en el español chileno. Por razones de una limitación de la amplitud, no era posible de tratar todos los rasgos en sus detalles, sino reducir a los aspectos más centrales y discutidos. Sabiendo que varios eruditos criticaron esa teoría, concentramonos a los siguientes personas: por un lado está Esteban Erize, escritor del Diccionario comentado Mapuche-Español que coincide parcialmente como Max Leopold Wagner, autor alemán del artículo Amerikanisch-Spanisch und Vulärlatein con Lenz. Por otro lado está el filólogo y lingüista Amado Alonso, nacionalizado argentino, con Rodolfo Oroz que rechazan el aspecto fonológico de la dicha teoría. Antes de pasar a la discusión y sus detalles, es indispensable esbozarla y examinar su perspectiva.

Uno de los grandes temas en el ambito morfosintáctico, respresentan los notables fenómenos del leísmo, loísmo y laísmo. El asunto ha seguido ocupando a los gramáticos principales de la Real Academia Española (RAE) desde el siglo XVI hasta el presente, como muestra una multitud de estudios. Aunque existen distintas teorías para explicar las variaciones del uso pronominal, 'son fenómenos complejos que todavía estamos lejos de comprender plenamente ni en su génesis histórica ni en su funcionamiento actual.' (Fernández-Ordóñez 1993:63).Por esta razón no es posible dar cabida a todos y cada uno de ellos en diecisiete páginas, lo que exige su restricción a sólo uno. Aquí trataremos lo más variable y discutido, el leísmo (Porto 1986:20). El leísmo de Ecuador no presenta solamente un caso interesante desde un enfoque gramátical, sino da también mucha materia para los estudios dialectales, como menciona además la siguiente cita de Charles Emil Kany:'En el habla popular de Hispanoamérica, la regla general es el lo, excepto en Ecuador y Paraguay [.], en donde se puede oír el le (plural les) referido a personas en labios de todas clases [.]. Es más, tanto en Ecuador como en Paraguay se oye con gran frecuencia el le como pronombre complemento femenino en lugar del la.'.El presente trabajos se dedica al leísmo de Ecuador con el objetivo de elaborar sus origenes, sus formas de aparición y presenta dos puntos de interpretación sobre los cambios del sistema estándar al sistema dialectal del leísmo ecuatoriano. La estructura se compone de tres puntos principales: las formas de aparición con su distribución geográfica y social, dos explicaciones de diferentes enfoques sobre los cambios y por último el leísmo de Ecuador en comparación con el leísmo de Perú y de Argentina. La comparación sirve aquí para incorporar el leísmo ecuatoriano en un contexto más amplio y para llegar por sus distinciones y sus semejanzas a una conclusión que permite dar una plausible explicación. Como ya deja suponer en este contexto, se trata de un leísmo en contacto con otros idiomas. Por consiguiente no lleva solamente gran papel el sustrato latíno, sino también el sustrato de la lengua del antiguo imperio inca, el quechua. Antes de entrar en detalles es indispensable de dar una definición y exponer la derivación del latín al castellano.
