First Swedish edition, translated from English by Ingeborg Kleen (Tyra's sister). Scarce. Tyra Kleen, a Swedish author and women's rights activist who spent several years abroad. She acquired a unique artistic and continental symbolist style. She was only 22 years old when she made the illustrations for Olive Schreiner's book Dreams. The book contains eleven short stories based on the author's dreams and life on a farm in South Africa. While studying in Paris, she had her first solo exhibition in 1896. She was truly a symbolist of her time and saw herself as a European artist and a vagabond rather than a Swedish artist.…
