A Rare Pamphlet Documenting Procedure for the Court of Record of Kingston upon Hull Owned by an Officer of that Court [Kingston upon Hull]. Orders and Rules of Practice to be Observed in the Court of Record, Of and For the Town and County of Kingston-upon-Hull, 5th July, 1834. Hull: Printed by Goddard and Brown, 1834. 7, [1] pp. Octavo (8-1/4" x 5-1/4"). Stab-stitched pamphlet in printed wrappers. Vertical fold line through pamphlet, light soiling and faint creasing to wrappers, early inscription, "Mr Lightfoot/ Undersheriff," to head of front wrapper, light toning to interior, internally clean. Rare. $250. * This pamphlet sets out the rules of procedure for the Court of Record in Kingston upon Hull, a maritime city in Yorkshire. It also includes two forms for bailable and serviceable processes. The under-sheriff of Kingston upon Hull in the 1830s was Samuel Lightfoot. OCLC and Library Hub locate no copies of the 1834 edition. They locate an 1838 edition at the University of York and an 1852 edition at the University of South Africa.
