This report presents results of a study conducted between 1992 and 1996 to assess the undiscovered metallic mineral resources in the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Winnemucca District and Surprise Resource Area (WSRA), northwest Nevada and northeast California. A wide variety of mineral deposits are present throughout the WSRA, and they are hosted by rocks and surficial deposits ranging in age from lower Paleozoic to Quaternary that is, from approximately 570 million years (Ma) to about 1 Ma. The main metal commodities present in the WSRA, from a commercial standpoint, are gold, silver, and, to a lesser extent, tungsten. Gold currently accounts for most mining activities in the WSRA production of approximately 1.2 million oz Au occurred from 10 mines during 1995. Eight of these 10 mines also produced approximately 7.4 million oz Ag for a combined annual gross value of approximately $550 million. Gold in the WSRA is produced mostly from three types of deposits: (1) sediment-hosted (Carlin-type) deposits, (2) hotspring and vein-type epithermal gold-silver deposits, and (3) distal-disseminated silver-gold deposits. Some additional gold and silver production also is derived from a variety of less important types of mineral deposits, including minor production from placers.CD.

No other copy of this royal memento has been traced, either on OCLC WorldCat or on COPAC. It is 29 + [3]pp, 32mo. Stitched with white thread into shiny white paper covers, with title duplicated within border in black on front, and back cover carrying an advertisement for a 'New Series of Packets of Books, for the young'. The final three pages carry a catalogue of 'Publications of The Book Society, 19, Paternoster Row, London.' In fair condition lightly aged, with faded front cover and dogeared corners. Frontispiece engraving of the royal couple, encircled by design topped by the Prince of Wales feathers. A royal souvenir, written in the usual mix of eulogy and religiosity, with author's initials 'F. G.' at end.

Printed on one side of a piece of rough wove paper, approximately 24 x 10.5 cm. Text clear and entire on aged, creased paper. A production in favour of the Prince Regent, with no trace of sarcasm apparent. Consists of six four-line stanzas, each followed by the chorus 'Hearts of Oak, &c.' First stanza reads 'Come cheer up my lads, we'll no longer repine, | United, we'll triumph - OUR CAUSE is divine! | May the KING to his senses, once more be restor'd, | And the REGENT, his Son, live for ever ador'd.' Last stanza: 'Then rejoice, my good fellows, we've weather'd the storm; | From Valour flows Peace, and from Wisdom, Reform - | United and Happy, we'll cheerfully sing - | Our Sailors, our Soldiers, our REGENT, and KING.'
