I am pleased to be able to offer a very clean and bright copy, still in its plastic dust jacket, of: The House of Warne- One Hundred Years of Publishing as told by Arthur King and A.F. Stuart. This small hard cover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¾ inches, 107 pages) was, of course, published by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd of London and New York, dated 1965 and the First Edition. The hard covers are fine beige cloth with colorful images of the characters of the publisher s book (in particular, Beatrix Potter) and gilt titles. It is protected by a clear plastic dust jacket. The book is amply illustrated, with ten full-page color plates and many b&w illustrations, all from the books of their favorite authors and illustrators. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The plastic dust jacket shows some very slight scuffing but is without chip or tear. The boards are bright and clean and very attractive with just one slight bump to the upper corner. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing of any kind. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound.
