Founded in 1957 by Elizabeth Collard, an adviser to Prime Minister Harold Wilson on Middle Eastern affairs, the organization compiled information from a large number of regional newspapers. Chapters are devoted to individual states, followed by sectional maps, a bibliography, and health and currency information. Octavo. With 8 leaves of colour maps; illustrations and advertisements in text. Original pictorial boards, spine and front cover lettered in black, advertising endpapers. Top edge a little dusty, faint staining internally: a very good copy.
