Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - If you love R. A. Lafferty's wondrous and transpossible stories, you've come to that love by unmarked roads. You've made your own way into one of the densest and most crazily jigsawed mythworlds ever created-a body of work that nobody will ever see all the way into, and no two will ever see the same way. You've helped dig out a labyrinth, and it's a joyous thing, but the labyrinth is more than the digging. This volume is dedicated to the observation that the fog of obscurity is ever so slowly lifting from Lafferty's world, and every year it's a little easier to find your way in. It's dedicated to all the raw colts-the old ones and young-who are coming to these works for the first time.

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Into the Antiquities Trade is a true story that documents the author's global exploits in the international antiquities trade. Mr. Cheek, one of the few real-life 'relic hunters,' spans the globe in search of rare ancient works of art, giving the reader an intoxicating glimpse into the inner workings of the trade through an international cast of characters. The author expands on the trade's current political situation and clarifies a myriad of opinions, while stressing his viewpoint that 'there in no better preserver of ancient art than the private collector.' Into the Antiquities Trade is a 'must read' for every collector of ancient art and is a resource for both the neophyte and the advanced collector.
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 658pg tome offering a history of communism, with dozens of contributors from a variety of world perspectives and time periods. An excellent overall copy. Binding is solid, square, sturdy, tight. Boards are clean and firm, slight bump to the bottom corner of the back board but no other wear of note. Interior is bright and clean and free of marks except for a small, neat, gift inscription on the front free endpaper, which also has a couple of fingerprint smudges. Else interior perfect and appears unread, which makes sense since its from the collection of an eminent marxist scholar who received this as a gift but had probably studied it all quite directly over the years. Dustjacket is mostly clean and attractive, with some light bumping and wear around the edges and with one significant horizontal scratch to the back panel. DJ now in brodart.
