She lived in a ménage à trois with the dramatist Christabel Marshall and the artist Clare 'Tony' Atwood from 1916 until 1947.With vignette illustrations throughout from C. Conway Gordon.With the bookplate of Nicolas McDowall to the front pastedown. McDowall was an artist and the founder of the Old Stile Press, a private press that produced its first book in 1981.A charming children's work. In the publisher's original paper covered boards, and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with bumps to back strip head and tail.
