She is a graduate of the Laurel School in Cleveland and Colorado College in Colorado Springs. After graduating college, she hitchhiked through Europe and the Middle East before serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bombay, India, and later as country director for the Peace Corps in the Marshall Islands. Her career was focused on population and family planning. She served as chief of field operations for the Office of Family Planning in the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity, and assumed a similar position when the program was transferred to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare. She became director of field operations for Planned Parenthood's International Program-Family Planning International Assistance (FPIA)-and traveled extensively in the regions where their program offices were located. She visited more than eighty countries. Hitchhiking through Europe and the Middle East. Surviving an encounter with the East German authorities just days after Kennedy's assassination. Getting lost in the Bermuda Triangle. As she camps along the Nile, works in an Israeli kibbutz and later adjusts to living in Bombay, join the author, a former Peace Corps volunteer and enthusiastic wanderer, for a different view of our world. After two years in the Peace Corps, learning to love her new country and then meeting the king and queen of Sikkim, Keekee Minor continued her explorations in China, arriving in the midst of a three day parade to celebrate the end of the Cultural Revolution.
