This collection contains fifteen essays, a sonnet, and a quiz concerning Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes canon, with contributions by James Keddie, Sr., Edgar W. Smith, Helen Yuhasova, Herbert F. West, Henry C. Clark, P. M. Stone, and others. With a foreword by Vincent Starrett, it is one of the scarcer postwar Sherlockian publications and an important work for collectors of Doyle and Sherlock Holmes scholarship. Recognized in John Bennett Shaw's Basic Holmesian Library ("The Shaw One Hundred") as one of the essential works of Sherlockian scholarship.
