Soft cover. Zustand: New. "Viksit Bharat @2047: Twenty-Five Years of Governance is a five-part, twenty-five-chapter account of a quarter-century of Indian governance, from Narendra Modi's first assumption of public office as Chief Minister of Gujarat in October 2001 to the present day. Written to mark twenty-five years since that beginning, ahead of a September 2026 function in Varanasi, the book steps away from flagship programmes that already dominate public discourse - PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat, UPI, GST, the Ram Mandir among them - and devotes sustained, chapter-length depth to twenty-five stories the author considers genuinely significant yet comparatively under-discussed. What sets this account apart is that it is not the work of an armchair critic assembling a verdict with the comfort of twenty-twenty hindsight. Many of its chapters are living, near-contemporaneous accounts: the author was present as several of the decisions examined here were actually taken, and witnessed at first hand events that left an indelible impression - from drafting the RERA bill as Joint Secretary, Housing, to walking beside the Prime Minister at Rajghat on the morning of 2 October 2014. The result is neither hagiography nor polemic, but a genuinely lived, honestly qualified record - substantial in its accounting of achievement, candid about what remains unfinished, and unafraid to leave open questions that current events, including an active war in West Asia as this book went to press, have not yet settled. It closes with a personal postscript on the author's own encounters with the Prime Minister across thirteen years, from a 2012 swearing-in in Punjab to that shared walk at Rajghat.…
