In this letter, Karsh tries to assist a friend in acquiring a literary agent, in part: ".I feel it is a rather difficult matter to suggest exactly the right person to fit a specific author. I am strongly of the opinion that one has in some way to come to know an agent personally to discover whether he or she is in affinity with one's own ideas and aspirations. Incidentally, Barthold Fles, whom Mr. McCulley mentions, some years ago tried very hard to place my own book - then un-named - without success." Several folds; unevenly toned. Good condition.
