On the Observations at the Upsala Observatory for Equinoctial determination in the Spring and Autumn of 1889. Karl Bohlin was a theoretical astronomer, known primarily for work on the orbits of asteroids and other three?body problems. On behalf of the General Staff, he carried out precision measurements in Sodermanland and lower Norrland in 1895 and in upper Norrland in 1896. He undertook a large number of study trips in Europe for scientific purposes. Schultz-Steinheil's scientific output was entirely within astronomy. Among other things, observations and calculations for the determination of the equinoctial (together with Karl Bohlin) as well as about comets and Jupiter's moons, description of a new method for determining Jupiter's radius and studies of interference problems are noted.
