There are tiny holes in the covers and pages near the spine, perhaps where a string tie binding was used. There is a small pen mark on the front cover,…and there is a small library stamp on the third page, else free of library markings. The gatherings are a little loose. A couple of the pages have brief notations in pen. Born in Shungopovi, Second Mesa, Arizona, Fred Kabotie became a well-known painter, illustrator, silversmith, teacher and writer of Hopi Indian life. He remained at Second Mesa, and his Indian name was "Nakayoma," meaning Day After Day. Fred Kabotie (illustrator).
