In den Warenkorb1 S. Qu.-8vo. Notiert wurde ein Zitat, das so auch in mehreren Zeitungen im Dezember 1873, z. B. in der Allgemeinen Zeitung München (10. XII. 1873) in dem Artikel "Zur Einführung der Schwurgerichte in Oesterreich", als Aussage Glasers zu lesen stand: "Es 'würde wenig passen, wenn die der Fällung des Wahrspruches vorausgegangene…Verhandlung es zweifelhaft macht, ob bei ruhiger Erwägung die Geschworenen nicht anders entschieden haben würden. Das einzige Gefühl, welches anzurufen die Staatsanwälte nicht müde werden dürfen, ist das Pflichtgefühl der Geschworenen.' [.]". - Glaser war Justizminister von 1871 bis 1879 im Kabinett Adolf Auersperg, 1870-80 Mitglied des Niederösterreichischen Landtags und gilt als Urheber der Strafprozeßordnung von 1873, welche auch die Geschworenengerichte einführte. - Verso mit Spuren alter Montage und Aquisitionsvermerk des Sammlers.

Auch mir gereicht es zu gewisser Befriedigung hiedurch mit Ihrem hochverehrten Hause in Beziehungen getreten zu sein, da in Folge meiner Mitwirkung an dem so großartig angelegten Unternehmen, dessen Leitung Sie [.] Prof. Binding übertragen haben, sich noch vermehren werden. Ich hatte mir bereits früher vorgenommen, nächstens Herrn Prof. Binding eingehend über den Stand meiner Arbeiten zu berichten [.]". - 1879 bis zu seinem Tod hatte Glaser das Amt des Generalprokurators am höchsten Gerichtshof inne. "Gleichzeitig mit dem Antritt seines letzten Amtes hatte G. neben Artikeln für Holtzendorff's Rechtslexikon die Bearbeitung des Handbuches des Strafprocesses für das Binding'sche Sammelwerk übernommen. Der erste Band ebenso wie die meisterhaften 'Beiträge zur Lehre vom Beweis im Strafproceß' erschienen 1883, der zweite 1885, zum dritten waren die Materialien gesammelt, als am 26. December 1885 Wien durch die Kunde erschreckt wurde, daß G. nach bloß achttägiger Krankheit an einer Lungenentzündung verschieden sei" (ADB). - Auf rot monogrammiertem Briefpapier.
