Quarto (31cm); Hardcover, bound in yellow cloth, titling stamped in gilt on spine; blind-stamped title to front cover; dustjacket; [6],7-251,[1]pp. Tight, clean, Near Fine copy. In the original dustwrapper, unclipped, crisp and clean, Near Fine. Major retrospective of Larraz's work from the early 1970s through the 1990s, with critical text by Edward Lucie-Smith. Larraz (b. Havana, Cuba, 1944) had a successful career as a political cartoonist prior to becoming a widely-exhibited and collected painter; this monograph concentrates entirely on his fine arts period. Includes biography, select bibliography, and chronology of exhibitions. Inscribed copies of Larraz's monographs are uncommon; this copy with the addition of an attractive and whimsical original drawing (which, perhaps ironically, is very much in the style of his early cartoon work).
