In ihrem Heimatstaat Pennsylvania suchte sie etwa Schulen auf, in die sie selbst gegangen war, und photographierte dort Schüler von heute. Es entstand eine Serie einfühlsamer Portraits, die viel vom Kindsein und Erwachsenwerden, von meist nur nomineller Chancengleichheit und dem Leben in der amerikanischen Provinz erzählen.
