Spiral_bound. Zustand: vg. First edition. Quarto. v (i), 357pp. Original spiral-bound tan wraps with black and green lettering on cover and hand-lettered label glued to spiral spine. During his time as an editor of the ISCC News Letter from 1936 to 1954 the color scientist I.H. Godlove collected publications on color theory and practice and inserted the results at the end of nearly every issue of the ISCC News Letter. Before his death in 1954 he had started to prepare a subject index for this bibliography. After his death his widow Margaret N. Godlove conceived the idea of carrying out the purpose of this subject index by publishing the entire bibliography anew arranged according to this subject breakdown. With the support of the ISCC, in particular the Council members F.L. Dimmick, R.M. Evans, D.B. Judd, E.I. Stearns, Godlove was able to bring the project to fruition and publish the bibliography in 1957. The notes made by Dr. Godlove, amplifying the titles of many of the references, have been reproduced without change. Contains index of authors at rear. Artist name (Samuel Kamen) inked to upper right of front cover. Wraps with very light wear. Binding and interior in overall very good condition.
