First Production Draft script for the 1999 film. Copy belonging to an unidentified crew member, with his first name in manuscript ink on the title page, and his annotations regarding camera work throughout. Bound in at the front and rear of the script are several production documents, including shooting schedules, a contact sheet, a map indicating filming locations, and information regarding lodging during production. Not to be confused with the 2008 film of the same name. A motley group of siblings return to their family home after their mother's death, ostensibly to grieve, but in actuality in order to determine who will inherit the largest portion of her wealth. Self wrappers. Title page present, dated 30 September 1998, with credit for screenwriter William Brookfield. 113 leaves, with last page of text numbered 105. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with pink and blue revision pages throughout, dated October 6 and November 2, 1998, respectively. Pages Very Good plus, bound with a silver prong.
