His reports were not highly regarded initially. However, a second edition was published in 1790, and they remained important to later students. This copy of the first edition was likely owned by William Otto Adolph Julius Danckwerts [1853-1914], a British lawyer who studied law at the Inner Temple and was called to the bar in 1878.
