In den WarenkorbPaperback. Zustand: Very Good. First edition. A very scarce and intriguing phrenological study inspired by the growth in circumference of David Lloyd George's brain. The first edition of The Business Head of the Future, a very scarce study in phrenology, written by English historian and phrenologist Joseph Millott Severn. Undate…d, published circa 1913. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Using the case study of British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Severn argues that the increased circumference of George's head proves that a new type of 'business brain' is emerging in the modern day. Despite phrenology being today considered as a pseudoscience, one cannot help but find this little work intriguing. Severn was a president of the British Phrenological Association which lasted from 1880-1967. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, mostly smart, with slight fading and faint signs of browning to wrap extremities. Pastedowns are clean with minor fading to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good. Unknown (illustrator). book.
