Bekannt wurde Ono in den frühen 1960er Jahren mit ihrem Keimwerk, das zuerst in New York und dann in Japan erschien. Diese Arbeit umfasste „Instructions for Paintings", ausgestellt 1961 und 1962, „Cut Piece" und die Veröffentlichung von „Grapefruit" im Jahr 1964, die diesen Ruf festigte. Besonders genau betrachtet die Ausstellung Onos Arbeiten aus den sechziger und siebziger Jahren, darunter ihr Einfluss auf Fluxus, Konzeptkunst, Performance, Umwelt, Film, Musik, ihre Arbeit für den Frieden und ihre Rolle bei der Pionierarbeit für diese bahnbrechenden Ideen. Mehrere große Installationen und andere aktuelle Arbeiten werden ebenfalls ausgestellt.

J.J. Very Good condition all around with just light cover wear including a bit of crimping along spine. Documented are important early pieces such as Paintings to Be Stepped On and Painting to See in the Dark and painting to Let the Evening Light Come Though, and all the Maciunas photographs are from the Silverman Fluxus Collection.
