Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - In the twenty-first century, the residents of Canterbury Hall gathered around a table to tell each other tales just as Chaucer's pilgrims did on their way to Canterbury in the fourteenth century. Like Chaucer's stories, these fifteen tales are contemporary to their times, and sometimes the account o…f the persons who tell these tales are as interesting as the stories themselves. Written in Chaucer-style verse, The Canterbury Hall Tales are a treat for people, young and old, who enjoy the humor and adventure of Chaucer's stories. The author has made no attempt to capture Chaucer's bawdiness.

No Binding. Zustand: Good. REPORT OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE, ON THE PAYMENT OF CLAIMS. House of Representatives, May 26, 1864.--Laid on the table and ordered to be printed. (By Mr. Singleton, from Special Committee.) [with] Minority Report. 7pp, paste-fastened pamphlet mildly toned with a half-inch split at the heel of outer spin…efold, toning confined largely to print-blocks and margins, some speckling from impurities in paperstock, very good. Parrish & Willingham 889. The Report of the Committee is by Ortho R. Singleton and Ro[bert] Johnston. The Minority Report is by William. N. H. Smith and Christopher G. Memminger. The page-and-one-half Report justifies payment of old debts in old currency; the five-page Minority Report dissents, citing law and precedent.

Third Revised Draft script for the 1978 film. Based on a story by producer Steve Krantz. Jennifer (Pelikan) is a young woman just entering a new private school, where the other students torment her to the breaking point. Her only course of action is revenge, which she enacts by communicating telepathically with snakes. A beautif…ul example of exploitation at its best, borrowing from both from its obvious antecedent, "Carrie" (1976), and another mind-over-animal film, "Willard" (1971), where rats became tools of justice. Green titled wrappers. Title page present, dated October 26, 1977, noted as THIRD REVISION, with credits for screenwriter Johnson and story writer Krantz. 118 leaves, with last page of text numbered 102. Xerographically reproduced. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads. Muir 1970s.
