First Todd Edition. Good copies only in full contemporary diced calf, with boards scuffed and worn on the edges and corners, and somewhat dust-dulled overall. Gilt-blocked monogram to the front boards. Joints cracked and showing some surface loss, with sewing holding. Raised bands on the spines, with leather labels, both gilt bl…ocked and the latter showing some minor loss at the edges. Text blocks very good: tight, strong and showing only the faint, scattered foxing expected of age. Remains a well-preserved set overall.
