Zustand: New.

Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. Small 8vo. 13 by 18 cms. pp 32. Original publisher's plum coloured paper covered boards, backed in black cloth; title printed in black to centre of upper board. Some fading to the covers; head and tail of spine are slightly chipped; spine fabric very slightly frayed: a very good copy. A small book of verse penned by two Rugby school students, no doubt the result of a prize, or, serious collaborative ambitions. Signed by both authors to the title page. This copy bearing the ownership signature of Sir Walter Leslie Farrer (1900Ð1984), the private solicitor to George VI & Elizabeth II, also a Rugby man, no doubt knowing the two poets. Uncommon. Well written poetry, quite a few references to the ancient world poem mentioning World War I. George Over was a noted publisher (esp to Rugby School) who published Rupert Brooke amongst others.
