Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine [replacement]. 1st Edition. A truly stylish biography Clara Schumann, reading like a novel and full of information and insights into her life and art. CONTENTS: Please see my accompanying scan image of the Table of Contents. Includes twelve black & white illustrations. 438 pages. CONDITION: The book itself (securely bound) has noticeable cover-wear, particularly at the corners and spine ends - and the front free endpaper bears the name of a previous owner. The interior pages are unmarked and uncreased but compromised by a long-ago water incursion that resulted in staining in the upper and lower margins and a permanent (but unobtrusive) waver to the page block. Lacking its original dust jacket, I have fashioned a simple Fine condition brown dust jacket for the book, with titling on the front panel and spine - enclosed in a clear mylar Brodart (removable) protective cover. Despite its shortcomings, this remains a quite respectable copy. ***NOTE: Due to this book's size and weight (ca. 2.5 pounds securely packed), a modest additional shipping fee will be charged for domestic (USA) Priority and International orders - not to exceed the actual US Postal amount. No additional charge for domestic Media Mail.…
