Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - First published in 1891, this book provides a comprehensive history of African Methodist Episcopal (AME) churches in the American South in the 25 years following the end of slavery. Authors Gaines and Scarborough were both prominent figures in the AME church and worked tirelessly to promote education and civil rights for black Americans. Through its detailed examination of the development of the AME church in the South, this book offers a valuable perspective on the broader struggle for black freedom and empowerment in the late 19th century.
