He had started this series in 1949 in his tenth y…ear in South Africa. The work was inspired by African carving and Bushman painting and painted in black dye applied with a pen with a felt nib. The reproductions are rendered in the same size as the original artwork. These were the last works to be completed before he died in 1951. Portfolio with some light wear and sunned along edges. Plates are age-toned, artwork crisp. Laid in threefold Janda Press announcement for this title.
