Three vintage studio still photographs from the 1944 film. Starring actress Baxter is featured in two stills. Two stills with "Silver Screen Archives" (New York) rubber-stamps on the verso. One image from the set is shown. Please inquire for others. Based on a story by Cheavens, source author of "Penny Serenade" (1941). Tessa (Baxter) leads an impoverished family holding a dinner for a soldier returning from war. They don't receive the soldier they expected, and the charming stranger Sgt. Eric (Hodiak) quickly involves himself. The film was reprised for radio by Lux Radio Theatre in 1945, with original starring actors performing. Shot on location in Florida. 8 x 10 inches, one slightly larger, two single-weight, glossy, and one double weight, matte. Very Good plus, faint discoloration to the matte still, small surface chips and brief creases to the glossy stills.

Three vintage photographs from the 1946 film, two studio still photographs and one on the set photograph of Tyrone Power and actor Hassan Khayyam, who had a small uncredited role in the film. Photograph of Power and Khayyam has annotations on recto in manuscript marker. Based on the 1944 novel by W. Somerset Maugham. A former pilot of World War I is traumatized by his experience in the war. He eventually travels to France to clear his head and loses his high-class fiance in the process. Ten years later he returns and she finds him, stopping at nothing to win him back, despite already being married to another man. Winner of one Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and nominated for an additional three, including Best Actor and Best Picture. Set in America and France, shot on location in Denver, Colorado. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, one light vertical crease to left and creasing to corner margins.

A remake of T. Hayes Hunter's 1920 silent film of the same name. Irving Pichel's "Earthbound" finds Nick Desborough (Warner Baxter) called away from his honeymoon with Ellen (Andrea Leeds) for business in Paris, only to find his ex-mistress Linda Reynolds (Lynn Bari) sent the telegram. Linda, rejected by Nick, shoots and kills him and her husband Jeff (Henry Wilcoxon) is arrested and tried for the crime. Nick's ghost helps guide Ellen to clear Jeff and convict Linda so he can rest in peace. Set in Paris and Switzerland. Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 33 and production No. 1884, dated January 12, 1940. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Based on the 1956 novel by Nelson Algren. A former artist who now works at an upscale French Quarter bordello is forced to confront her past when her ex-lover arrives in town.
