This brochure for the 1957 tour is not registered in WorldCat. - -Jo van Doveren was a Dutch circus expert, impresario, and journalist who brought Marcel Marceau to the Netherlands as one of his artists. Van Doveren worked as press officer for the Strassburger and Sarassani circuses and was responsible for the Dutch tours of various international artists. Marcel Marceau (born Marcel Mangel) was a famous French-Jewish mime artist, known for his character Bip the Clown, and a master of the art of pantomime. In 1957 he gave performances in theatres in 10 Dutch cities, including Theater Carré in Amsterdam (6-11 May), Stadschouwburg Utrecht (17 May) & Stadschouwburg Haarlem (18 May).
