V letech 1966 az 1990 bydlel na Novem Svete na Hradcanech a na tuto dobu ve sve knize vzpomina. S laskou vypravi o starobylych tajemnych zakoutich teto casti Prahy, vzpomina na lidi, se kterymi se tam setkaval a jejich tvare zpritomnuje vlastnimi kresbami.

A k tomu lze pridat jeste jednu chvalu - ceske reci, s niz autor zachazi s uctou a respektem. Projevuje se zde bezpochyby jeho celozivotni rozhlasova zkusenost. Mimoradnost sbirky podtrhuje skutecnost, ze ji svymi ilustracemi ozdobil svetove uznavany vytvarnik Jiri Anderle.
