Sunday church time can seem to be more about duty than community, and the call of the wild can all too often reach into the pews and distract us from our heavenly goalsbut the two need not be separated. This book is for those who can find evidence of God's teaching not in the confines of a building but in the vastness of the wilderness. These stories ultimately reflect my personal journey from only having church on Sundays to having it when I venture afield any day of the week. I've heard other hunters refer to this as 'the church of the woods.' It is in this church that I find meaning and seek to clarify the muddle of everyday life.
